Toys for 2 year old...

My nephew's birthday is at the beginning of February and I have to get online shopping to make sure his gift gets to him in NJ by Feb. 2nd.

I always try to get something a little out of the ordinary and thought I would ask you girls for website suggestions to shop on.  I've started on amazon and have been perusing etsy but haven't found anything that really caught my eye.

  • It really depends on what he is into. I have found a few things on etsy that I have bought for my son and given as gifts that were big hits. My two favorites are a personalized car carrier - if he digs cars (Matchbox type) it's a great way to keep them organized! Also, a personalized super hero cape with his initial on the back. My kid loves his! Good luck, etsy is a lot of fun to shop on!

  • My nephew just turned 2 and I got him a water table from Amazon and he's OBSESSED with it.  Since your nephew is also turning 2, he won't notice if his B-day gift doesn't get used until it's warmer outside in NJ.  I checked the reviews online and ended up buying one that was around $40 but they had cheaper ones.

"Once I got a bath bomb that, once exploded, filled the tub with confetti. Little sharp metallic pieces of confetti. The product description said nothing about confetti. Oh look, there's a tiny, sharp metallic blue star stabbing me in the labia. HOW RELAXING. " - NoisyPenguin
  • Get him a Screature! You can buy it at Target or Walmart. It's a toy dinosaur (a Velociraptor) and you have to pet it a certain way to make it purr, and if you touch it wrong it snaps at you. If you tough it wrong again it'll spray you with tiny shots of water! My son ADORES his, and you don't have to have water in there if you don't want to. It also falls asleep after a while of not being used. It's hilarious.

  • When my DS turned two his favorite gifts were cars (well, anything with wheels), art supplies, musicall instruments, and books.

I always like to check out Uncommon Goods for gifts that are a little different.  Here's a link to their toddler gifts: https://www.uncommongoods.com/for-kids/toddler-gifts-3-5-years
