XP: Any DHs take Coast Male Fertility Supplement

Hi,

My DH has a low sperm count and our RE recommended he take this male fertility supplement.  We are also going to a urologist, but this is in the meantime.  It is like $100 a month.  Is this a scam? Does anyone else take it?

Baby N conceived after 1 miscarriage and more than 2 years of TTC. Diagnosis was low sperm count. We found success after 3 months of anastrozole to increase DH's testosterone and one IUI.

  • I've never heard of it, but honestly, I don't see any reason to spend $100 per month on a supplement.  What is in it? Have you googled the contents?  You can probably buy the vitamins/supplements that are in it and save yourself a lot of money.  MH takes a bunch of vitamins/supplements and we are definitely not spending $100 per month.  The only thing that's pretty pricey is pycnogenol, but that one is pretty important for us bc there are studies about it's improvement in morphology numbers and that's one of the things we need.

  • It's got 70 mg of Zinc, Acetyl L Carnitine and Coenzyme Q10.  At least those are the ingredients my RE talked about.

  • Well, MH gets the Zinc and the L-Carnitine from Fertility Blend for Men (and it's like $26 for 90 capsules- he takes 2 a day), in addition to other vitamins supplements in it like Vitamin C, Folic Acid, etc.  He takes CoQ10 separately (and also pycnogenol, l-arginine and additional vitamin C separately).
