I think that I wanted to be everything at different times in my life. When I was really small - 6 years and under - I wanted to be an artist of some sort or something creative because I didn't want "a stinky boss" - at least that is what I used to say according to my parents. lol
In elementary school/junior high, I wanted to be a lawyer so I could make lots of $$ and take care of my mom after my dad left.
In high school, I didn't care what I was going to do. I just kind of drifted from class to class, looking pasty white and miserable - a la Nancy Downs from "The Craft."
I majored in psychology in undergrad and got a master's degree in exercise science. Now, I want to get my papers to be a certified yoga instructor so I can work independently and not have a "stinky boss."
i ALWAYS wanted to be an architect. that didnt work out, no money for school. i pissed away a year and then joined the navy. now i want to be a paraleagal. i started my schooling for that, then failed out because it was just to much for me to handle.

I wanted to waitress when I was little, because I thought carrying a tray was really fun. And every summer until maybe college I wanted to be a lifeguard because who wouldn't want to hang out on the beach all day.
By the time I hit high school I wanted to be a guidance counselor.
In college I switched majors 3 times and never graduated..
Now I'm just hoping I will be a good mom. But DH and I would love to work our way into 'flipping' houses. It's a dream.. we know.

When I was little, a teacher/ librarian. In high school, I thought about being a chef, but started training at my uncle's restaurants and hated the hours. Now, I want to be an Occupational Therapist. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Human Services and had begun an entry level graduate program, hopefully I will finish it someday. Or I will just open up a luncheonette.
When I was in elementary school, I wanted to be a concert pianist. My parents convinced me that being a musician was too difficult and so then I wanted to become a dentist (yeah -- Mopsie, don't laugh!). In high school, I wanted to be an M.D. In college, after realizing how squeamish I got when dissecting animals, I decided on molecular biology. After attending (and graduating) from a molecular biology grad program, I found out that research was not for me, so then I ended up in law school. And here I am, a patent attorney.
Up until about 10 years ago, if you had told me that I was going to be a lawyer, I would've laughed in your face!

In elementary school I wanted to be the first female president or NFL player, or an actress. I also wanted to go to Harvard. Reality set in when I was in 9th grade after taking a psych class. I decided I wanted to be a therapist. That dream evolved into being a social worker and now I am a school social worker. My new dream is to be a famous talk show host like Dr. Sue Johansen (sp?). LOL
When I was real young I wanted to be an archeaologist. When I got a little older I wanted to be a lawyer (this was more for revenge as my Dad's estate when he died was severely butchered and I wanted to get back at the people that did it). Then when I finally got over that I wanted to own my own business.
Wife. Boy mom x6. Expecting #7. Wannabe homesteader. , 💙💙💙💙💙💙
I'm not sure what I wanted to do when I was very young. I went through a long period where I wanted to be a farmer. Then I wanted to live in a big city. Then I wanted to be an agriculture teacher. In college I decided I wanted to be a farmer. Junior year of college, I wanted to be a teacher again. I'm one class away from two degrees and I work for a youth program and a plan an event catered towards youth and agriculture. I still want to be a farmer. DH and I are farmers, but I want to milk cows like no other!!

When I was really young I wanted to be a teacher. Then in 6-8th grade I wanted to be a marine biologist and work at Sea World. In highschool I wanted to own my own restaurant. I went to college for hotel/restaurant management, HATED it, so switched schools and got my degree in Sociology. Now I am a business analyst, haha, never saw that coming when I was younger!
A backup singer for Kenny Loggins hahaha! I went to his concert- the first concert I'd ever been to- when I was 7 and I thought it was the coolest thing to see live music. He had this lady singing backup that was totally awesome and I longed to be her :-)

I wanted to be an artist in 1st grade apparently. I recently found my class journal and that's how I answered the "what do you want to be..." question, and I also included my horrible drawing. Yeah, not meant to be an artist.
Then I went to Sea World in 5th grade and decided on marine biology. Later I figured out that marine biologists do more research than actually playing with dolphins (which is what I really wanted to do), and Sea World trainers get paid nothing. Moving on again...
In high school I took a psychology class and really liked it. I ended up with a degree in Social Work and worked in that field for a couple of years. Now I teach history & geography!

Sweet job! School social work positions are impossible to come by here because nobody ever quits! I guess that's how I ended up on the teaching end of things. I still keep my sw license active and I would apply for a school sw position in a heartbeat if one would ever open up.
When I was a little kid, I wanted to be a teacher, a hairstylist and a doctor. Then around 5-6th grade, I decided I wanted to be a lawyer. By the time high school rolled around I was dead set on being a doctor or physician's assistant--I even went to a seminar at a local hospital about what I needed to do, education wise, to get there. I job shadowed. And then, in 11th grade, my guidance counselor (the b!tch) basically laughed at me and told me that my math grades would never get me to med school (I got Bs). She refused to entertain my ideas about colleges and med school.
I started out as an English and Psych double major, then decided to Sociology to become a school social worker/guidance counselor/school psychologist. Then added a second major in Communication, which I almost finished (4 credits shy). So I got my Sociology degree and procrastinated on grad school and here we are today. I have been in retail management and a paralegal and now a SAHM. I'm thinking about taking a Medical Assistant course (2 years) sometime in the near future if possible. I'd love to be a Nurse Practitioner in Womens Health but I don't know if it'll happen. I'd still love to be a guidance counselor as well. I'm too indecisive.
I wanted to be a waitress or a secretary when I was younger. As I got a little older I wanted to be a marine biologist. Then, as the PP said I learned you didn't get to play with dolphins all day. In high school I wanted to be a fashion designer. I was going to move to NYC and design wedding dresses. I became a CPA.

I came full circle.

I always wanted to be an art teacher, but that changed in middle school. I am an English teacher.
