I'm so upset! re: wrap purchase

So you may remember me asking about the nati purple butterflies a while back. Well I had asked about them on tbw too and a sweet mom told me there was currently one listed fs on bbc swap and added me into the group right away.

Anyways, I specifically asked the seller if it was the purple or the violet version b/c I knew the two were similar and I didn't want the violet. She said it was the purple. Well I got the wrap today and it is the violet not the purple!

I like the wrap but she flat out lied to me, and I paid $135 for the wrap which is overpriced for the violet butterflies.

I sent her a message explaining the situation and asking her what she would be willing to do about it. I'm so sad right now though, b/c I thought I had found this wrap and I didn't...

    I haven't seen the wrap in question, but I hope this woman wasn't purposely misleading you. Off the top of my head, I have to say that I would easily confuse "violet" and "purple," even though I know they're slightly different. I hope this was the case with this woman and that she'll happily take back the wrap. Good luck.

    I do hope/think that it was an innocent mistake. The two are very similar and I think she just didn't know, but if she didn't she should have said so.

    There's a fairly big difference in the two colors from what I understand, and the purple was sentimental to me...

    so she sent you a linen version?  because doesn't the palla ussheri one only have purple not a violet?

    Really tabitha?? I thought I found the silk in violet on a vendors site. I can't remember which one. Lol, it was in canada and was tadpoles something. If you're right then it is definitely the purple because it is silk... I'm going to feel awful if I was mistaken!

    I just checked and tadpoles and butterflies does sell the palla ussheri silk in violet and my wrap looks identical in color to those.

    okay, it looks like on the malaysian board there was a purple and a violet.  The violet looks like the tadpoles and butterflies one, but the purple looks like a darker more true to life purple not a pinkish purple like the violet is. Unless it's a bad picture,and people are calling the violet one purple.  I guess the only way to  find out is asking Natibaby. Regardless I would send it back because it smells like smoke.  ugh hope you can get this resolved

    Forgive me if I followed incorrectly but she shouldn't be buying it back, she should be allowing you to return it if she told you it was a different one than she delivered you.  Do you have the email or communication where she told you the incorrect color?  Did you guys you pp or a credit card?  Not that you want to but if she sent you something different than promised, I imagine you can open a claim.

    ok, so she forwarded me the emails with natibaby and she does ask for the purple wrap. So either one of two things have happened:

     1. Nati sent her the wrong wrap, not thinking this is likely

    2. there is only one version not a seperate violet and purple like the Malaysian board seemed to think, which is what I had also found showing the wrap...

    Either way, it's not her fault. I'm so confused by the situations and not sure i like the wrap, but maybe it will grow on me...

    I'm going to email Nati and ask them if there is a purple and a violet verson or not so that should clear it up.

    It sounds like whatever happened, it is neither of your fault.  That sucks!

    That's disappointing, but at least it sounds like she didn't lie to you. There's been so much of that lately. Hope you get it worked out!
