Another Shredding Question

I just started the workout today - I mentioned this in the Monday check in.  I was just curious, being this is only a 20 minute workout, do you do other exercise on the side?  I go to Curves 3x a week but didn't know if I should take a break from this or make myself go as well.

  • I do not do anything else besides the Shred video.  I think if you go hard (really hard) for the whole 20 minutes, you should be okay with just the video BUT if you "phone it in" as Jillian would say, you will probably end up working out extra.

  • I usually do not do anything additional.  I think because Jillian makes it clear you have to give it your best since it is only 20 minutes I go all out during the workout.  Where if I did a longer workout I may not put the same effort/intensity into it.  I definitely feel like I get a good workout after.  I may do some extra stretching/leg lifts throughout the day but no actual workout.

  • Before, I would go to the gym around 3x a week. Since starting the Shred, I have not gone to the gym. Even though its only 20 min, I still feel like I get a better workout than at the gym. Plus, its such a hassle sometimes getting DS all packed to drop him off by my cousin to watch him so that I can go.
