i feel very anxious when i breast feed

I really like to breastfeed my amelia but as soon as she latches on or sometimes when it is feeding time and my milk is coming down i feel anxious to the point where i am almost nauseous. Has anyone else experienced this?

    I felt some uterus cramps and nausea in the early days but now I look forward to feedings.

    I felt extremely anxious during the first couple weeks, and would often get hot flashes and nauseated.  Happily, that has all passed and now we have a great breastfeeding relationship.  Good luck to you!

    its from the hormones. or it could be anxiety. i have that when i get my eyebrows waxed so i started taking a xaxax beforehand.

    That happened to me a few times...the nausea...then it was just a flush of hotness coming over me and then it was finally just tingling nipples when I let down.  Definitely hormones and maybe a bit of your own anxiety.  Just try and tell yourself that nursing time is time for you to relax with the baby and go to a quiet place.

    I notice some nausea when I nurse or pump, but not any type of anxiousness. Some water has always helped me to feel better...

    MelBee your wedding pic is GORGEOUS. 

    I have had the nausea but it comes & goes much less now that LO is 4 weeks old. I tried deep breathing and it helped.  Hang in there - it will definitely pass.

    I used to feel anxious and kind of squirmy/panicky later in the feeding.  That feeling went away eventually, and I later figured out that I had a 2nd letdown.
