I know Worms posted a link to the adoption board, thank you sweetie
Sorry it took me a bit to post on my "home" board.
Last Thursday we got a call that a birth mother had selected us. At the time we were in discussions with another agency about another birth mother but that's a long story for another lifetime! So, we pondered it over the weekend and officially accepted the match yesterday (I was pretty sure we would which is why I posted to the adoption board last week).
We are very excited but also want to remain cautiously optimistic as there are no guarantees in this process and there are high birth mother expenses involved which are at risk. Baby is due in about 10 weeks so fingers crossed and we could use lot's of thoughts and prayers. This is going to feel like a drawn out 2ww... OMG, it's like a 10ww, yikes! (But then again we have been stuck in a 17ww to get to this point, plus the preparation stage before that). We will be meeting her this week, I'm not sure how much I will post here as it's all public.
Sorry I haven't been around much, I totally turned into a lurker, it's been hectic at work, have had some back issues that I've been working on and of course all the adoption stuff. Never give up ladies. I was in a bad place once but after we officially moved on to adoption everything changed, I was a happier person and could get excited again, I was hopeful. I hope this all works out... I can't believe we could have our baby in a matter of months.
Good luck ladies. Never let IF win.
