Hi Wife,

I read on a recent post of yours that your DD hates the carseat.  Ok, Hazel HATED hers too and I thought I tried everything (extra padding, sleeping first, drive around, fresh air, etc).  Finally, I took the wings off her Halo Swaddle Sleep Sack and put them in the car seat.  I slid the wings underneath the buckles.  Then, I strap Hazel into the buckles like normal, and secure the swaddle wings over the buckles.  I also put a little travel sound machine in there (I just took the sound machine out of the Sleep Sheep).  Right after I get her in there, I swing the car seat for about 1-2 monutes and she is finally a happy camper in the seat!  I swear, now I can take her anywhere.  She used to just scream and cry and scream and cry.  Now, she either chills or sleeps.  MIRACLE!

I also bought the Summer Infant SwaddleMe because there are slits in the back to swaddle them in the car seat.  I found that the Halo wings alone worked better.

    Thanks for the tip!  I wonder how she would do, as we'e stopped swaddling her. BUt it sure is worth a try.  I have the swaddle me.

    I wish this would work for us DD freaks because she cant see me but can hear me if Im silent shes fine otherwise I have to be in the back seat with her :/

    We stopped swaddling too (we are transitioning with the magic sleepsuit).  We only do it in the car seat.  I'm not ready to give it up quite yet :)

    we put the mirror so she could see herself and she LOVES looking at her reflection. she hates it when we're stuck in traffic but its not as bad as before.
