Definitely not Emmalynn....too many double letters....
I like Emmaline (not the lynn) better. But obviously wouldn't go with your middle name suggestion.
But also not sure I'm a fan of Emmalyn Arline...seems like a mouth full.
You are right, it is sort of a mouthful. I wanted to use my grandmothers middle name, which is where the Arline comes from and wanted to do Emma, but DH doesn't like Arline and likes Emmalyn. So the compromise was to do Emmalyn Arline and I would call her Emma for short... Only now we are back and forth on the spelling of the first name. I tend to lean towards Emmalyn

Emma Lynn, Emmeline, or maybe Emelyn (similar to the Evelyn format). This actually comes up once a month or so, and I can't say I like people butching my kids name, but I do try to help posters get to a spelling that works.

I would prefer a double fn or two mns Emma Lynn Arline. If you are set on the smoosh name, I think there's a slight chance that people would pronounce Emmalyn as Emma-line and Emmalynn would be unlikely to cause that confusion.
Emmalyn, Emmalin, Emmelin, but please do not put two Ns at the end!
Double consonants indicate syllabic emphasis--meaning you'd be spelling the pronunciation Emma-LYNN, two distinct names with the emphasis on the final syllable, if you spell it with two Ns. Since you want the Emmalyn (EMM-ah-lin) pronunciation, you should spell it with one N, regardless of how you spell the first two syllables.

i'm not a big fan of 'lyn/lynn' on any name.
what about the name emmeline? kind of a combination,
and it's a really pretty name. that's just my two-cents, though. [:
i didn't notice you had already mentioned emmaline/emmeline. [:
