** Damn you scale **

Just went to the doctor's today and hit the bit TWO-0-0 mark on the scale.  40 pounds to date (I was on bedrest for a month though).  Still...Yikes!!!

How much weight have you put on since getting pregnant?  Hopefully I hear from more than just those skinny minis who gained 10 pounds (ugh)...

  • I have gained 48lbs, so no skinny mini here!  I am trying not to worry about it and I know I am more that ready to get my old body back! (or at least close as possible)

  • 40 lbs here too, I packed on quite a bit when I was told I didn't have to be on bedrest, but nothing strenuous. If my heart rate went up, I had really bad BH, so I was told I had to basically be a bump on a log if I didn't HAVE to be up and about. This morning I vowed I am done with the scale, we are broken up. If I gain beyond this point, I don't wanna know about it!
  • I stopped looking past 30 lbs, but I think I am going to ask at the next appointment.  My guess would be somewhere between 35-40 lbs?  I'm pretty calm about it, I figure there is nothing I can do until LO is born, and even then I want to focus on BF'ing well enough to sustain LO before I start trying to lose a bunch of weight.

  • I've gained 20 so far from my pre-pregnancy weight but I've really gained 26 if you count the 6 I lost during the first trimester due to being sick.  I'm hoping to stay right around 30 but we'll see, it's been coming on faster at the last couple appointments.
  • I have gained almost 60lbs....so definitely not a skinny mini here! Im at the point now where I'm just not worried about it and know I will work hard to lose it once the baby comes!

  • 44 lbs total so far as of yesterday.. I weighed in at 200 (which shocked the crap out of me) when I had my initial appointment to find out if I was pregnant- I was 6 weeks along (I'd probably gained a good 10-15 lbs and couldn't figure out why which prompted the HPT).. As soon as I pop out Little Man and get the green light for strenuous exercise, my fat ass is getting this extra weight off. I haven't been this big since high school and my lower back-hips-legs-ankles-feet are paying the price for it. No more eating every sugary thing in sight after this. :-)

  • Pre-pregnancy I was 142lbs (I'm 5ft 4in)

    After the 1st tri, I was down to 128lbs.

    As of yesterday, I'm up to 149lbs

  • 7-8 lbs.. don't even ask me how.. I was 11 lbs last appt but lost 3 lbs in the last two weeks somehow..

    Measurements are perfect though so...

    I know what you mean! Mine is mostly belly and it definitely shows!

  • I've gained 30lbs...weighing in at 150lbs currently...
  • 30 and every bit of it is in my belly.  My back can't take much more!

  • I've gained 25 lbs from pre-pregnancy weight (but I still had 15 lbs to lose from DS2) so I have been very careful not to gain too much since I still had previous weight to lose.

  • Between 40 and 45lbs... I gained 10 lbs in three weeks and we think it is edema. Most of my weight is in the belly and I am starting to have some serious back issues... oh yeah.. and cankles.

  • I had gained 26, but then started losing weight after being put on the GD diet. I'm at around +22 right now, but I started out overweight, so the number on the scale is still not pretty.

  • 28 so far, but I've gained 4 lbs in the last week alone. I'm sure I've got a few more to go.
  • I've gained 30.  Somehow I gained 2 pounds in a week even though my fundal height was the same and I was less swollen at that particular moment than at my previous weigh-in.  But I was wearing a heavy sweatshirt, so maybe that was 1 pound?  Anyhow, I started the pregnancy underweight and other than going up a cup size and retaining fluid in my legs, it doesn't appear the weight has gone anywhere besides my stomach.  OB is not worried but I don't get why I'm still gaining and my FH was the same.  I just hope things are going well in there!

     
  • Headed for huge o rama over here too! I'm lurking from March and up 40 pounds. I will likely hit the 200 before long. Not proud...but what's a girl to do at this point?
  • I'm guessing around 30lbs. I haven't paid attention to the scale. If my dr is concerned she'll let me know.

  • As of today, I am up 33lbs.  I was freaked out about how fast I was gaining for awhile, but I got over it.  I switched from 2% to 1% milk as my 'diet' for gaining so quickly :)  Now I don't care...but it's slowed down in the past few weeks.  I'll worry about it later!

  • I saw my ob today too.In total I have gained 37 pounds and still have 4 weeks to go. I guess the bright side is that I'm not nearly as big as I was with DS#3(I was HUGE). My eyes got pretty big when i saw the scale today. I gained 7 pounds in 2 weeks(more than I should have  I'm sure). But she didn't say anything about it like they did EVERY time with DS#3 so it can't be too bad.

  • I've gained about 18 pounds so far. I'm really happy because it looks like I'll stay under 25 pounds total. I spent January - May last year working my butt off to lose 25 pounds and found out I was pregnant June 2nd. So it'd be awesome to not have any extra weight to lose.

  • I am + 37lbs as of mondays appt. Its all in the belly and my ever expanding a$$ though. It makes my legs look skinnier at least. My 2 yr olds favorite new phrase to say is mommy youve got a big a$$....gee thanks.

  • About 45, I stopped weighing myself.  I am still mentally think that I have the same size and shape as before I was pregnant.  I have a hard time manuvering and it stumps me at the time, and I am constantly hitting stuff with my belly.   I also find getting into bathroom stalls frustrating sometimes.  It is like I have to remind myself of what my shape is.  :)

    However, my boyfriend is really on me about my "weight problem" (uhm ok, I still fit into all my pre pregnancy clothes?). He found my stash of chocolate and didn't talk to me for almost an entire day. STFU. I had our OB have a chat with him.

    He's just convinced that after she's born I'm going to gain a ton of weight, eat like crap, and not care about what I look like anymore. So now he has me going to the gym to do ellipticals and swim, and his mom agrees I should be doing it!

    idk... this whole weight thing is started to p me off.  But he just keeps saying it's because he cares about me being healthy. Well, stressing me out about every little thing I put in my mouth is anything but healthy. I know I'm making him sound like a complete a*hole, and he's really not at all, I'm just sick of hearing about food, weight, and exercising in general.

  • I was up 33 lbs at my last appt and I think I am hanging out around that. I am seeing the big 200 on the scale too and it makes me want to cry : ( I wasn't overweight or anything before I was pregnant and I'm really tall, but it still stings. I am just trying to remain positive and know that most of it goes away pretty quickly!! Right? : ) haha
