XP- Cold sore/Fever blister on 17 mo. old

I *think* I saw a cold sore on the edge of DS' bottom lip but I'm really hoping I'm wrong.  I know it's not the end of the world if it is but it stinks all the same.

Anyone else's LO have this and if so, can anything be done to treat it until it goes away?  Could it be anything else?

    I was concerned about a bump on M's lip and took her in. It didn't have the multiple little bumps, but I wanted to have her pedi look anyway because they can treat them with an anti-viral medicine like aclivair (sp) and I wanted to catch it early if it was a cold sore. It wasn't a cold sore - thankfully - so yes, it can be something else but he didn't say what it was - just a bump, I guess.

    Thanks for your reply!  DS' doesn't have a lot of little bumps either- it almost looks like a pimple right on the edge between lip and skin area.  I'll call the pedi and see what they tell me.

    Margaux has a little rash under her lower lip from all the teething drool, could it be something like that?

    Maybe...he's not teething anymore (yay!) but he has been extra attached to his paci lately and drooling more because of that. :crosses fingers that's what it is:
