What to do when LO out growns infant tub?

My guy is getting to big for his infant tub, he can sit up really well but he tries to move all over in the tub and stand up.....so I know he will slip in our regular tub....should I get an inflatable tub or a bath seat or what  are you doing?

  • We are going to look for a bath seat for Addison this weekend . I have used them before with my older daughters and it worked great . As of right now I have been putting her in the kitchen sink for her bath .

  • i just figured this out the other day.  we have the whale tub, it has this big green thing in the middle to rest their little buts on when they cant sit up.  DS flops back when i poor the water on his head, so i cant put him in the tub either.  the other day i just wsitched him around.  so now he sits on the other side of the big green thing.  seemed to work pretty well.

My mom bought DD this for while we were visiting in California and she loves it! We brought it back with us and use it all the time.

  • we just got a bath mat for the regular tub and bathe dd in there.

  • we just fill the tub only a little so that when she lays down it isn't dangerous, and otherwise we let her sit and play. I would use the sink if it didn't constantly have dirty dishes lol!

  • We have used the regular tub with no issues since DS was able to sit well.

  • If DH is home, we each take a twin and support them while sitting up in the regular tub.  If he's not, I lay them both down in the tub instead.

  • We just use the regular tub and I am always at arms length at LEAST to help her if she slips. She only has once, and I dropped my flipping phone in the tub!

  • We've been using the regular tub for a couple of montrhs now (I hate the infant tub).  I just put a couple of inches of water in it, and he goes on his stomach for a few minutes so I can do his hari and back, then on  his back for the rest of the bath.  He LOVES kicking and splashing in the water!  I just fill it enough so his ears don't touch.
