We FINALLY have a name

I am awake at 5:30am because we are having another storm and the school calls to let us know of delays and cancellations and now I can't sleep! Figured I would catch up here and let everyone know that I am having LO in about 2 weeks and we finally picked a name.....

Brayson

 Saturday we were all set on Giovanni. We were on our way to the store to get his name in letters for the nursery. Well...the night before a friend said, how about Brayson. I liked it right away, it's different, which was what I was looking for. DH didn't really say anything. On our way to the store, he said, you know...I really like Brayson. We called our older boys and asked them what they liked better, both said Brayson, so Brayson it is!!!

 

Now for a middle name...and I don't have another 9 months to decide, haha. Anyone have any suggestions? I would like it to start with a J if possible.

    way to go!  that's a big check.  how about brayson james?  or brayson jason?  just kidding!

    My immediate thought was: do not use James. It's like the middle name "Grace" for girls. Unless you have some historical/familial reason... it's so overused. (Apologies to the ladies using it as a middle name!)

    Also, are you sure you want "J"? Then the initials are BJ. Just sayin'. 

    What about Brayson Giovanni? Or Brayson Gio?

    What about Brayson Geoffrey?  That way you have the J sound but don't have the initials BJ?

    Brayson Gregory, Brayson Jorge, Jareth/Gareth, Jarrod... I like Gareth personally, pronounced Jareth. Then you can have the sound you want without what could be embarrassing initials.

    My very first thought was use the name you were originally going to use.

    Brayson Giovanni - very unique! I don't think there would be anyones else in his class with the name.

    We have had a first name for awhile - but still no middle name either. DH keeps changing his mind.

    Thanks for all of the suggestions. I wanted a J mn because my 2 other boys have a J mn. I did mention the BJ initials to DH and he said no one's ging to say anything embarassing unless they were initials for a girl. I can't wait to tell him how manyof you commented, haha.
