I finally got an appointment with a specialist in March. He will only be in the country for a few weeks. He is an Endo specialist, according to their website the first thing that they do is their patients on Lupron (after a lap). I seem to finding mixed things about it online.
Re: Talk to me about Lupron.
I did 6 months of Lupron shots after my lap for stage 3 endo. Truthfully I don't really know too much about it other then she did it to help keep the endo from coming back and since I wasn't TTC at that time or thinking about it in any near future it was fine to do it. I don't know how it would work if you were TTC or wanted to TTC in the relative future. Anyhow, while on it I had night sweats and hot flashes though my doc did give me a prescription to help with that after I told her about my symptoms and it worked great. I also had crazy mood swings and gained a fair amount of weight while on it. I was a firefighter at the time and worked with 8 men, nothing like sitting at the dinner table and getting up to stick your head out of the window in the middle of winter from the hot flashes. And those stupid but cute Cheerios commercials with the boy and his dad had me crying everytime. I spent a lot of time in the women's bathroom at my firehouse crying so the guys wouldn't see me. Hahahaa. But like I said, mood swings. I went right back on BCP after it and my endo symptoms held off for a few months, but it came back so I don't think it's something I would do again if my doctor wanted me to.
Good luck!
