Any one have a membership to the Children's Museum?

I am thinking about putting that on Aiden's Birthday wish list but wondering if it would be worth it. We have a Zoo membership & I really enjoy that. Also what "level" of membership do you have? How bad is parking daring the week?

Thanks

  • We have one (the 'lowest' one) and love it!  We just renewed and I considered getting the passport one, but when I looked at the cost of entry fees at other children's museums that we could potentially go to, and the extra cost of the membership, it just didn't make sense.  It would be cheaper to pay the admission fees at the other museums.

Even with two parents that work FT, we more than get our money out of it.

I have taken Livie at all times - morning, evenings, weekends and weekdays, and have never had an issue with parking.

We have gone to some of their special holiday parties too, and those are great. (Halloween is my favorite)

  • Thanks for the reply.
  • I really want to go just to see it I haven't been for years. What age would you say kids would start getting something from it?

We started taking  DS when he was about 15 months old and he LOVED it!!!  They have a toddler area that is fun to explore and then he loves the water/bubble play area. I do often times see younger kids in the toddler area, even 9-10 month olds!! All you'd have to do is go 3 times as a family and that makes up the cost of the membership in a year. Parking isn't bad and we normally go on the weekends.

  • Yes and we love it! So worth it, especially in the winter, we go just to let Riley go run around. But the toddler area (the Habitot room) is great probably for any kid over 1, just a bunch of ramps and slides to run around on. And like pp said, the water and bubbles stuff she loves, and there's a room with a lot stuff like a grocery store you can go shopping, drive a bus, a kitchen to cook in, etc, and Riley loves that stuff.

We just have the basic $90 membership and I think it's plenty. We just bought it in September and we've already been probably 4 or 5 times, so it's well paid for already. They have a great little area for the kids to eat snacks/lunch if you bring it too.
