I had an IUD after DS1 was born. After a while I couldn't feel the strings anymore, and when I asked my dr about it at my yearly appointment, she said that it was still in there but that the strings were all coiled up which was why I couldn't feel them anymore.

Ditto. Mine got "tangled out of reach" and I was freaking out. I scheduled an appt just so my dr, would make sure it hadnt "disappeared" Of course he laughed at me but I dont care. I had 3 kids under 13 months...I want to make sure that sucker is there and working thank you very much. My dr and I are pretty close since I was there for almost 2yrs straight. He completely understood but we still laugh about it. (it was the first year I had it)
