Am I pregnant?

I just finished my period about a week and half ago. I stopped for two days and then spotted for a couple of days. I took a pregnancy test (my husband and I are trying to conceive) about 13 days after our last intercourse and it came out positive, so I went to planned parenthood the next day and took a urine test there and it came back negative. I noticed the SLIGHTEST amount of brownish blood when I went to the bathroom yesterday. I am not sure if this is a chemical pregnancy or if I got a false negative because it is so early. Anyone have any insight?

Honestly, the levels of hCG in your urine can vary throughout the day depending on what you've had to drink and how much is being produced. This early, FMU is the best to use when testing. Wait until morning and test again to see if the test comes up positive.

It could be a chemical pregnancy or it could be something else. It's unlikely that you could have gotten a false positive result due to testing early (unless you're using a blue dye test, those can be less reliable). In general, a line is a line so if you see one, you're pregnant.

But just to warn you, questions like this are not usually met well. I would put on my flame retardant suit if I were you! Stupid questions are generally met with stupid answers.

I have found that it is a pretty common occurrence to get a BFN at the doctor's office because the tests they use are less sensitive, they usually wait/leave it on the counter too long before dipping the strip, the urine tends to be more diluted since it is not FMU. It has happened to me 3 times. Every time I was pregnant and the blood test confirmed but it was nerve-wracking nonetheless. One of the times it did end up in a m/c but the other two pregnancies ended successfully.

So yes it is possible that you had a chemical pregnancy or maybe it is just still early and you experienced implantation spotting. The truth is only time will tell. GL to you and I hope for the best!

Weird things happen all the time, especially to us women. Our bodies are complex systems that can easily get out of whack. I'd guess you experienced a chemical pregnancy and are no longer pregnant... That or you got an evap line, not a positive result.

False positives are rare..Did you use FMU at planned parenthood? With DD I took a test on a FRER and it was dark...Then I took another one later on a dollar tree and it was really light (barely there) but it was diluted..If youre early and the urine isnt concentrated enough it might have come back negative..Best to wait a coupld days to see if AF shows or see your dr.

I got a slight line on 10dpo and than a negative on 11 dpo and started bleeding. So I though it was over when I woke up with no bleeding on 12 dpo I took a digital and it was BFP.

So I would wait a few more days and than take a test. If not than you should call your doctor.

We can't tell you if your pregnant.
