Having trouble getting a pic in my siggy

Hi Everyone!  Could you please explain to me how to add a picture to my siggy?  I have went to the FAQs, and tried to follow those directions, but my pic is huge.  So I tried to put the code into tiny url, but it won't work.  Can anyone help?  Thanks so much!
