.. writing sub plans!! DH has the flu.. and now I think I do too! Have a fever and a lot of yucky symptoms.. ugh! The last thing I want to do is look for a sub and make plans!
I am around 11DPO right now.. but he has been sick for weeks, so I assume that probably reduced our chances this month.. does DH sickness affect fertility? Off to type my plans..
Re: The worst part about being a teacher..
I agree, sub plans are awful! As for your question about you DH having the flu possibly reducing your chances this month, I don't think it would.
Hope you feel better soon!

When men have a fever it can affect their sperm. I am not sure to what extent it can affect them.
ETA: I hate writing sub plans. I got a stomach virus on the night before we were scheduled to come back from winter break. I live one hour from my job and had to go in early that morning to write sub plans. It was terrible. Luckily, my sister was staying with me and she drove me to school. There's no way in Hellll that I could have driven myself to work that morning.
I hope you feel better soon!

I am a sub, but I mostly work at one school. I have worked for almost every teacher in the school over the past two years, so they don't even leave "sub plans" for me anymore. Just notes on what they planned to do that day. I did have one teacher leave me 8 page, typed plans. It even explained what the play button on the CD player looked like.
I hope you don't have the flu and you can still get a BFP this month. Get well soon!
I hope you and your H feel better soon!
(And I hope your kids don't tear up your room if you are out, that's what always happens to me)

Ugh, I agree! I'd usually rather just suck it up and go in sick than write the sub plans and deal with all the catch-up afterward.
I hope you feel better soon!!

MH is a teacher, and the few times he's had to call out sick, the sub plans have been a pain. Im sure the subs appreciate you taking the time though. I did a brief stint as a sub-and when there were no lesson plans left-it sucked. Feel better soon!
My school requires us to have emergency sub plans. That way, there is always one day of sub plans waiting at school in case they are needed. I try to have an extra day of emergency plans in my room, too, and then if I had to take a second day off I could just let the office know where the plans are. It is helpful to only have to call for a sub when I am sick instead of writing sub plans then, too.
Hope you feel better!
Yes! Sub plans do stink - it almost makes me want to go to work... almost!!!
Also, I hope everyone feels better!!!!
this- from my previous school
I am very thankful in my new school to have a close TA (teachnically co-teacher) who is with me. When I'm out she takes over 99% of the time which means no sub plans because she knows how to read my regular plans. My school usually doesn't hire outside subs.
Ugh, I totally agree sub plans are the worst. I was sick a few weeks ago and had to make up sub plans for a whole week, I hated being out that long and making plans each day, but I had an infection with a fever.
Hope you feel better soon!
