About a week ago, I started getting abdominal pain on my right side (a couple of inches from my belly button). I get it only when I'm walking. When I stop walking or really slow down, it completely goes away. It feels a bit like a cramp. I've talked to my midwife to rule out anything major. She isn't overly concerned since it goes away immediately when I slow down.
I knew that I'd have to slow down during pregnancy but I didn't want it to happen just yet! I'm an active person and wanted to remain that way during my pregnancy.
Anyone else experience this?
Re: Abdominal pain while exercising
I'm 24 weeks now but when I was about 20/21 weeks I started to get some cramping when I was running and walking. I talked to my dr. about this and we determined it was from my stomach stretching. I took off about a week from running but started up again and I don't have the cramps anymore.
First, I'd take the advice of your dr/midwife above what I say, but what worked for me, was stop walking and running for about week and just do elliptical and spinning.
