First Response Fertility Test

Okay, so I'm not currently trying to conceive because I already have three children under 3 years old (yep, that's right), but I got a free fertility test in a box of preg tests (First Response) that I purchased some time ago, and just for kicks, took the fert test the other day. I was SHOCKED with the results! The test indicates that my FSH levels are elevated. I'm 29 years old, so shouldn't be pre-menopausal. But I'm just having a hard time believing the results, since it seemed that all hubby and I had to do was hold hands to get preggo! Has anyone else used this test?

Re: First Response Fertility Test

  • I haven't used them, and I'm no expert, but were you getting ready to ovulate by chance?  FSH stands for follicle stimulating hormone, which as I understand it, is a hormone that stimulates the release of the egg.  Maybe it was elevated because of where you are in your cycle?

  • The test directions said to take it on the third day of your period. I took it on the fourth... maybe that affected the accuracy of the reading, not sure.
