Her fav toys now are book - especially ones with thick pages she can turn herself, pop up books, or the ones where they can open flaps.

LOVES her babies and stuffed animals. She also loves books, especially the sensory ones. Oh and the Cozy Coupe!! She loves her car!

I agree with PPs about books. Some of those foam building blocks. She enjoyed (and still uses) one of those riding toys that you can also push. Balls. Crayons and paint. DD loved "painting" on cardboard boxes in the backyard during the summer. at 1 year she was just starting to play with duplos. I also started getting her some of those smaller toys that are animals. They have to be big enough for her to not be able to put them in her mouth but I found a bunch of different animals in the $1 aisle at Target and she LOVES them!

The biggest change I noticed with DD as she approached 1 yr is that she is more interested in fine motor toys now. My mom has this: https://media.discoverytoys.com/ec_tools/catalogs/DTUSCatalog.pdf. DD is so proud of herself when she stacks the pegs. She loves putting shapes in a sorter, flipping switches, etc. She is also getting into the doll/stuffed animal stage. She hugs and kisses them all the time and puts her doll in her little doll bed to go "night night".

I agree with the open-the-flap books. She loves blocks and the bigger legos.

DD also loves the VTech 3-in-1 Learning Zebra Scooter that she got for her birthday. She seriously plays with it all the time.
