Talk me down

TMI

This morning when I wiped after going to the bathroom there was a little tiny bit of brown and an even smaller amount of red discharge. I had brown discharge with my blighted ovum around 11 weeks so now I'm really freaking out. I'm going to call my OB when their office opens at 9 but can you ladies make me feel better in the meantime? I doubt they will even see me since I'm barely 6 weeks along....I hate early pregnancy.  And we're supposed to tell my ILs tonight, ugh!

Re: Talk me down

  • Have you had sex? Were you super active this weekend?

Try and relax and remember you're pretty early and spotting early is usually pretty normal! Baby has to nestle in, and in doing so has to push into your lining causing a little bleeding. There is nothing you can do except not to over do it and drink up the water.

Call you OB, maybe they can get you in just to make sure everything is ok.....which I am sure it is!

  • I had a little but of this in the beginning and it ended up being a UTI.  It lasted a day or two, until the antibiotic kicked in.  Hopefully it is something simple like this. I am pretty sure that a little bit is normal.

  • Hang in there.  It can be pretty common, but I understand why you're freaking out a little.  I'd definitely call and see what they'll do for you.  Keep us posted.

DH & I did have sex yesterday afternoon.  And I was pretty active this weekend.  I completely forgot about those things causing some spotting, thank you!

I appreciate the feedback ladies!  I feel a little better already.

  • Well, you know I've had spotting and everything has been fine with the baby. But I would definitely call and tell them you've had a previous BO and are spotting. My doctors have been much more responsive to any spotting or bleeding because of my m/c. Take it easy and put your feet up today!
  • I know how scary seeing that can be. Hope everything turns out ok... let us know what your doc says.
  • My sister had a lot of bleeding early on.  Turned out to be TWINS!  They are now 2 weeks old.
  • I had a placental issue that resolved itself, but I bled from like 13-20 weeks.  It was nerve wracking, so I understand how stressful it is.  You should talk to your Dr about it, but don't freak out.. hang in there!
