Catching up on posts today and just saw yours on babyproofing your bed.  Honestly the best way to babyproof it is to remove the frame completely and just set the box spring on the floor.  The advantage is twofold:  she won't get caught in the frame, and also if she falls off the bed it's lower to the floor.  We did this when S started crawling and now when he climbs up on the bed we can walk away and not worry about him falling off, he learned many months ago how to get off the bed safely backwards.  I don't think a bed without a frame will look bad when your house is on the market but maybe ask your realtor about that.
