I find that the last few days of the week I am, but on Saturday nights, I have DH take the night shift and do the night feeding. My DD usually feeds at around 11, then not till 3 or 4, then again at around 6 or 7. So I head to bed in the spare room right after the 11pm feeding and I can sleep till around 6 or 7....this morning it was 8. I find just the one night of good sleep really recharges me. I also nap during the day (on most days) when LO is napping. Sometimes it means that some of the housework doesn't get done, but it is more important to me to be rested than to have a spotless house!
This. I can't remember the last time I was able to sleep the entire night uninterrupted. When I was pregnant, I couldn't sleep because I'd be waking up all the time to pee. Now that LO is here, he wakes up to eat every 2-3 hours.

Right there with you sister! No decent sleep in about 6 months! And DH wonders why I am so short with him. HA! He's lucky I haven't smothered him in his glorious sleep yet.

There is hope! Up until last week I was getting about 6 hours average a night, and was up 2-3 times a night. For the last week, LO has a wonderful new sleeping pattern. She sleeps for about 7-7.5 hours, gets up for a feeding at about 5 or 6am, then goes back to sleep for another 3 hours. It is absolutely heavenly. I say this not to brag but to let you know that things will get better. (I really hope I haven't jinxed myself now!)
Re: any other mothers on here very sleep deprived?
