We just got word of my husband's next deployment and I come to find that he'll be doing pre-deployment training literally every time I'm ovulating from now until then. We've been ttc since he got home (what seems like) such a short time ago. I am beyond frustrated right now. How does it always all seem to happen in the way of everything? We were planning hoping to conceive before this next deployment, but it looks as though that simply won't be happening. I can deal with the distance and the deployment, but yuck! This just puts a big, fat, anger-filled cherry on top of everything.
Sorry, ladies.. I just had to post this out somewhere before bed. Hope you are all having less crumbly nights as a whole. Best wishes and safety throughout.

Re: Training Schedule in the way of TTC! grr.
Sorry to hear about things getting in the way of your "baby makin," but try to remember that all things happen for a reason! (at least I believe they do)
My husband and I have been praying for a child since we got married, but between that time I ended up dealing with on and off severe illness that kept me in hospitals much of the time and literally a month after getting clearance from my heart doctor and finally being off pain medication, BAM we have a little one on the way! So despite not using birth control for 3 1/2 years, we didn't get pregnant until God knew it was the right time! I'm so glad that things have happened that way too, I hope eventually you can look back and say the same!! Best of luck!

This was us, except I'm the AD one and instead of just adoption, it was a hysterectomy we were discussing because of fertility and pain-management issues. I was scheduled to deploy 2 weeks after BFP- imagine my relief! Are you positive you'll be ovulating every time he's gone? As in, you already know your cycle and its consistency to be able to predict ovulation? I'm only asking because my cycles were extremely irregular and so was ovulation, so the only way I knew was by temp. charting and the pee-sticks.
Good luck, and I hope that something gives or changes to help you get a better shot at TTC!
Aww... I can imagine how frustrated you are! When we decided to TTC this time, I realized we would have just 2 chances in a 22 month window between training and deployment... the first chance I had a chemical pregnancy, so there was a lot of pressure the second opportunity - fortunately we lucked out and got pregnant. Best wishes that you have a lucky break and he ends up home in time one of these months! If not, there's always an R&R baby to hope for : )
(On a side note, many of my non-military friends are like "you know what day you ovulate? you track that? you planned your pregnancies to the day??" - um, yeah - we HAVE to! One more way we military spouses excel at our jobs lol)
Thank you so much everyone. I seriously just HAD to get that off my chest and my friends don't quite know what to say in this issue. I feel a lot better.
We found out just yesterday that there's a reason the short seven months we've been ttc have been unsuccessful. I got a call about my luteinizing hormones being more than double what they should be, so I'll be prescribed Clomid or Metformin this Tuesday morning. So, hoping, hoping, hoping that something will change as far as plans go. We started tracking my ovulation and my periods throw it off a bit, but we're not just missing the window, he'll be gone for a few weeks at a time losing that entire block at which I could be ovulating. Plus, I can't take Clomid until my next cycle so this month is not going to work out... or maybe we'll get lucky, who knows!
You're right, we will get pregnant when the time is right. I just really hoped it would be before this deployment, I guess.
Thanks again everyone!

Not yet. I mean, everything points to it and with the blood test results, it seems very likely (especially since my mom has PCOS). Unfortunately with all of base being closed down due to the snow, I have to reschedule my appointment. So, we'll see what seems to be the issue. Best of luck to you both.
