ER Scare Last Night

Thankfully everything turned out okay. HR was 170 and the baby was kicking away on u/s. I had to wait 4 hours to get the u/s though so it was a really scary night. I woke up around midnight with thin red blood. More than spotting but not menstral looking or clots. I got a vaginal exam with a horrible dr who gave me a scare and then when I was asking questions, he took a phone call and left! After the u/s I had to wait another hour for him to see me and then he said he talked to the OB and what he thought may have been an issue was not a problem. Yeah, thanks for freaking me out for 4 hours. Needless to say, I am very glad I am not delivering there. It was the closest hospital.
No answers but I'll see my regular OB tomorrow, DH and I did have gentle sex beforehand so I'm chalking it up to that for peace of mind. DH already stated he's good for 6 more months and it won't be happening again. Today I have small amounts of brown blood so I'm hoping the bleeding is gone.

Agreed. This guy was like a cocky Doogie Howser. DH was like, "I'll knock this guy out in one punch." Classy I told him.
Community? I'm surprised they were so shittty. My sister delivered there and had a good experience.
My nearest hospital is Centra State. I went there for my m/c and they were horrendous. Awful.
I switched Drs. immediately, one of the major reasons being because I didn't want to deliver there.
Where are you delivering? JS?

Yes Community. I have heard good things about l&d too and I had good things to say about the ER when DH hurt his back. The nurses were great but the ER doc was horrible and the u/s tech wouldn't take me until my labs were back. I had a whole bag of fluid in my bladder for over an hour waiting. I honestly thought I would wet the bed. They didn't let DH go with me for u/s and he was a wreck waiting. I was sick thinking I'd hear the worst without his support. The tech wasn't speaking to me until U asked if she saw the hb, if all looked okay, and what the baby measured. She grudgingly turned the screen to me and I got short answers, but didn't care bc it was what I wanted to hear. Then she wouldn't let me pee in her bathroom and told me I had to wait to be wheeled back to the ER bc I was bleeding.
I'll be delivering MM or Riverview.

Ugh. Sounds like a horrible experience all around. I'm delivering at MM & I've heard great things about both MM & RV.

Me too. Both my sister's had their babies at the hospitals - MM once. I was also born at RV.
