DH grumble (not really his fault)

Tonight my DH and all his friends including my FIL are at some event 3 hours away.. I am driving home tonight and they have not plowed our road (the snow drifted today) I ended up putting my car in the ditch!!!  I tried for about 20 min to get it out but to no avail... Of course none of them can hear their phone ring.. my MIL does not answer her phone (she is always in bed and never answers).  I finally get ahold of DH and he gives me two other numbers to call... none which work....

I finally got ahold of DH's boss (who is out of town) but he called one of DH's co-workers who finally got me out of the ditch... I guess this LO got some excitement tonight if anything he learned a few choice words I hope s/he won't remember when s/he starts to talk!

    Good grief woman! I'm glad you and LO weren't hurt, but I'd be saying some "Grown up words" of my own. I'd probably invent a few as well.

    I was pretty lucky I missed taking out the fence with my car by about 3 inches...No damage to me or the car!  but I didn't get bounced around just slid in and got the tire down in a deep trench and worked and worked to get it out.  I was only 1/8 of a mile from home I could have walked home and left the car till DH got home at 4 am.. but im glad its out now.

    Yes, Yes he would...LOL  I sometimes go with but determined this year I was not suffering through the cold... He had a great time so did his buddies even though they all realized they left all their wives home without anyone to call...LOL

    My DH was there as well! I usually go as well, but didn't want to deal with the cold either this year. We usually go down with my BIL who usually pulls there, but he couldn't go this year. Was your DH there Friday night?

    no but we heard about and saw the run away tire incident... sounds exciting.. they were really lucky no one was hurt... My guys usually only go on Saturday
