  What are your other son's names? Ethan and Joseph? If so, I don't think Dean really fits in with those names.

  However, I do like the name Dean generally.

  Ethan and Jonathan. Can you think of another an ending name? We didn't intend on them ending the same way but realized it after the fact. Now it is pretty hard to think of names that end in an that we like.

  That is reassuring. My goal is too give them strong solid names but it is hard for me to imagine Dean as a child. I can only think of a grown man.

  Jackson has become waaaay too trendy, though. If you love it, go for it, but I think there are stronger options out there.

  Love Dean.  I think it sounds very distinguished.  The only hesitation I have with Dean is the nn Deano that sometimes gets established.  DS #2 was almost Dean.  It is his mn.
