I know...how could I already be thinking about that?
Im hoping I can somehow avoid all the swelling and tiredness from the heat. Sept is a great month though, can't complain. Im just not ready to be a swollen blob from Jun-Aug.
Bleh....anyone feel the same?
Re: anybody not looking forward to third tri in heat of summer?!
I'm actually looking forward to summer. Right now, the winter is killing me! Between the first trimester hormones and dry winter air, my whole body is dry and my eczema is flaring up. Layering up when going out in public is even worse! I'm so clammy and uncomfortable!
At least in summer, we can escape into air conditioning when it gets too hot. But I honestly think I will want to sit by the pool on most days. This winter is just making me grumpy!

I can't wait! I have an excuse to try not to fit into a bikini! And I'll be pg for my 10 year HS reunion--so I don't have to worry about being as skinny as I was back then
Honestly, I would give anything to make it through 3rd Tri and have a healthy baby at the end, so I'll take any time of year!
I most definitely am. I had an August baby and a December baby and having a baby in summer was so much better. All maternity clothes are WAY cuter in the summer. It is so much easier to recover and get to know baby in the summer months. Post partum recovery in the middle of winter was tough. I went from being hot all the time to be super cold. My body ached and my poor boobs..oh my.
Baby will be a nb during my favorite time of year and right around Christmas is when baby will start to get a bit more interactive (smiling, cooing etc).
I am really looking forward to it.

Yes it will be hot, but as someone who is always cold, the heat never bothers me anyway. Plus I think of all the cute maternity sundresses and stuff I'll get to wear
I really wouldn't care what time of year it was...today I am pregnant and I love my baby!!!

My mom mentioned this to me when I told her. She had my sister in Sept. (a day before I am due,LOL) and she said she was miserable!LOL I told her I'm excited because I get to wear all those cute dresses from Old Navy.
I am nervous about this GA heat, but I teach, so I'll be at home anyway!
Our anniversary is late April, so we have been avoiding that date to avoid a December Baby. I had my DD in May, so I had ugly winter maternity clothes for work. Im looking forward to the clothing part!!
Not looking forward to it... I live in the Deep South (South Mississippi to be exact - just a few blocks from the water). Aug & Sept will be brutal for me. I'm just glad that I work in a nice cool office and get to sit all day!
lol This is the same for me, I am in AZ, and am not really looking forward to the three block walk from my office to the parking garage.

This exactly! I won't have to struggle to get socks on, can wear slip on shoes and flip flops. DH won't have to help me get boots on and or do up shoe laces for me. As well, summer means, I can spend the whole day relaxing at the park with DD and watch her play.
This.
Exactly what I was thinking.
ALL of this! I would hate to be in my 3rd trimester right around now and have to squeeze into or buy winter maternity clothes. Am looking forward to long, flowing dresses and light cardigans for the office!
Not to mention, it totally pays off to have a September baby - you get to include so many national holidays into your maternity leave: Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years... I might be able to stretch my 3 month leave to 4!
I am excited for the sundresses and skirts but not looking forward to the heat and swelling up. I am very lucky, I didn't swell with my DD at all. Can I be that lucky again? Probably, not! hehe
I loved being pg in the winter and I loved my clothing from Gap Maternity (they had the best sweaters). But I agree, having a baby at the end of summer/begining of fall will allow us to get out and go for walks!!! Missed that with a January baby.
But I am happy to be able to hide the baby bump for as long as possible at work with winter sweaters.
My Mom said she loved being pg in the summer bc she spent the whole time at the pool. Hopefully, on my day's off I can be down the shore OR hope for a rainy, cool summer!?!?!
But as most would agree, the "discomfort" is only for a while and a happy, healthy baby and Mommy is what we all want in the end.
