How long after D&C can you have sex?

Tomorrow will be 3 weeks since my D&C. Of course my f/u had me so upset I forgot to ask when we can have sex and exercise again. Also, what are you girls using in the mean time before TTC again? I was thinking condoms but sometimes have gotten irritated from them in the past. TIA

    My doc said 2 weeks. I go back for my f/u and I think as long as everything looks ok, we can have sex again.  We will probably use condoms until AF, then we will be TTC again.  I hate condoms, but it will just be for a few weeks...

    My dr. said 2 weeks, but it can vary from 2-4 weeks....where you can't have nothing inside your vagina.  Call your dr. and see what he/she says.

    BFP#1: 7/14/10.  EDD: 3/19/11--MMC-- D&C 9/2/10.

    I was told 2 weeks,  but I agree with PP that it depends and you should check with your doctor. Honestly, it's been over 2 weeks for us and I'm not quite ready yet.

    My doc ordered 2 weeks post D&C.  She also said we can TTC at that point as well (although I know nothing is likely to happen until. at least after first normal cycle) but, we haven't decided if we will use BC for a few weeks or not. If we do, it will be condoms.
