Trouble TTC

I am beating myself up over (hopefully?) nothing

DH bought a new bookshelf today from Office Depot.  He has to assemble it, but it came in a box that's marked 78 pounds.  (Didn't read that til after it was in the house...)  There was no way with the size of the box that he'd be able to get it out of the car and in the house by himself...so he pulled the box almost all the way out of the trunk, I grabbed the end that was about to come out, and I helped carry it inside.  I never actually LIFTED it off the ground, but I did carry it and maneuver it to get it inside for a ways.

I'm now beating myself up that I shouldn't have carried it, it was too heavy, now if this IUI doesn't work will it be because it truly didn't work or because I carried this stupid box, etc.  Did I mention I'm feeling crampy too?  Maybe I'm thinking about it so much that I'm making myself feel like that, but to help my cause I did feel a bit crampy this morning too.  <sigh>

(I realize this probably sounds newbie-ish, but with this being our last IUI attempt before moving onto IVF I wanted to make sure I did everything as perfectly as I could.  Where was that logic before I offered to help haul this thing around??)

So please tell me I'm overreacting, being stupid, stop worrying, etc.  Embarrassed  I'm telling myself that, but it will mean more coming from other 3TC'ers!  Thank you.

  • Lol, you're overreacting. I will personally promise you that carrying a box is not going to dislodge any eggs/embies.

GL UMich, I really hope this is it for you!!

Embarrassed  Thank you...I seriously need someone to smack me.  I do feel a bit better about it now that some time has gone by.  Even DH is now just giving me the eyeroll!  Confused

  • I think you're fine! But I totally understand why you're feeling like this.  I'm paranoid about doing anything physical during the 2ww too, which I know is totally ridiculous.
    11/10: IUI #1 =100mg Clomid CD4-8 + pregnyl trigger + IUI = chemical pregnancy
    1/11: IUI #2 = 5mg Femara + trigger + IUI = BFN
    2/11: IUI #3 = injectibles + trigger + IUI = BFN
    IVF #1 April 2011 ER 4/23 w/16 eggs retrieved, 14 mature, 11 fert., 4 blasts to freeze, 5dt of 2 blasts on 4/28, beta #1 5/7 = 243... beta #2 5/9 = 491....beta #3 5/11 = 1113!!

  • You're fine! I wouldn't have even thought about it.  The nurse was basically like 'don't do intense exercise for two days, but really it's not a big deal'.

This.  Definitely not a problem to help carry in a box.  Good luck, hon!
