I was hoping you ladies could give me an answer to my question. I'm just curious and I know this is super early (DS is 5 months), but I was wondering when you started transitioning your LO to cow's milk. I EP and I have a huge freezer stash. So I'm just thinking that if I pump until he's 9 months and I have 1000 oz in the freezer, could I transition him to cow's milk as the freezer stash decreases? I don't even know how much BM he'll be consuming at 9 months, though. So I don't know how long my stash will last. Anyway, is it bad to transition LOs to cow's milk around 10 or 11 months? When did you start the transition?
Re: Hi from 3-6! Transitioning to cow's milk ?
11 months.
we tried at 11 months, but it failed miserably. DS ended up having milk issues which sucked, but he outgrew it.
We tried again at 13 months and it went fine. Good luck!
This.
Maybe a week before his actual bday b/c we ran out of formula. We didn't do the slow transition either (mixing formula with milk).
We just went cold turkey to milk and luckily he loved it.
This. It was a gradual mixing of formula/milk for 2 weeks.
