Did anyone find a cheap of free program that let you add both photos and videos to your slideshow??

Have you tried Windows Movie Maker? I made a (short) movie of all of the pictures and videos of my son. You can incorporate tons of pictures, any music you want, and videos. It was already installed on my computer so I didn't have to buy it. Good luck!

I used iMovie, then transferred it to iDVD, to burn it. I'm pretty sure they both come with the Mac. Not sure what computer your working with?

we have a mac and I used imovie. We didn't really get it on DVD but we will eventually. Not sure that helps much but I used mostly pics and some vids for those special moments.

THIS Exactly! Came out awesome and I gave the grandparents copies as well.

I used One True Media and it turned out great! It even lets you cut the video clips down. They have some music available but you can also upload your own. It was really easy ...but the disc cost around $30. We just made copies of the one we bought to give to our parents/grandparents.

I plan to make one every year for awhile.
