TTC After a Loss 6 Months+

WTF appt recap in blog

But be forewarned. It is looooooooooong.

Reader's digest version: probably doing FET in a couple-few months. For whatever that's worth.

Re: WTF appt recap in blog

  • I'm so sorry you even have to go through this! It sounds like your doctor is very much on top of things and I so hope the FET is the answer!!

  • I'm sorry you have to think about all this again. It fvcking sucks, there's no other way to say it.
  • Since the Chi.cago (hee, hee) trip probably won't happen, I'm sure we can find an excellent doctor who specializes in embryo genetics in St. Louis! Wink (kidding, obviously)

I do like your doctor, it sounds like he knows his $hit and doesn't want to screw around. Now we just need to find your damn socks....

  • Sounds like your doctor is overjoyed to have a patient with whom he can match wits.  Was it Stevenson he discouraged you from seeing?

Overall, I think I completely agree with his logic on everything (based on my scant IVF knowledge).  Does he want you to wait a bit to do the FET, or is it a funds issue?

  • Urg, I'm sorry your still going though this but it does sound like your dr. has his head on right. *hugs*

For PGD, I believe there is concern over the embroyos dying as a result of the PGD (I'm sure you've read this) regardless of if they were chromosomaly good or not and then not having anything to transfer.

  • Sounds like a plan!  It sounds like Dr. Verbal Repartee RE will make it his personal mission to get you KU'd, so that's a good thing.

Also, I will never be able to look at Chi.cago the same way again, and I'm interviewing a guy from Northwestern today.  Thanks for that.

  • I'm so sorry about how this is all working out for you.  I really will be crossing everything that the FET does the trick.  BIG HUGS

  • Your doctor sounds great.  I hope the second opinion will bring you some answers if you decide to go that route.  Good luck with the FET!  I'm still keeping everything crossed for you.
