This is my first cycle on Clomid and I also had a trigger shot on CD 18, with the IUI on CD 20. I was just wondering if Clomid generally affects your LP at all. Thanks.
Yes - if your LP is generally short Clomid can help to normalize it. If your LP is normal length already, I don't think it will make a difference. If you are taking progesterone supplements, the progesterone can lengthen even a normal LP.
IUIs #4-6 (injects) = 3 BFNs IVF #1 = BFN FET #1 = BFN FET #2 = BFN IVF #2 = BFP, b/g twins lost at 20w due to partial abruption/PPROM IVF #3 = c/p 5w2d Long-shot Clomid/Prednisone cycle before next IVF = BFP, our beautiful, healthy girl born 6/26/13! ~~ TTC again March 2014 FET #3 -May/June 2014- all embryos arrested before xfer - back to the drawing board... Mine is generally 10-11 days, so I would say that's on the shorter side. Hopefully, it will lengthen it a bit.
I was only on Clomid once and had a c/p that cycle, so I don't know how it would have affected my LP. My RE said that it normally does lengthen shorter LPs, and is a toss up whether it would lengthen a regular 12-15day LP. When I was googling this before, seems that for a lot of people, it did lengthen their LP.
11/10: IUI #1 =100mg Clomid CD4-8 + pregnyl trigger + IUI = chemical pregnancy
1/11: IUI #2 = 5mg Femara + trigger + IUI = BFN
2/11: IUI #3 = injectibles + trigger + IUI = BFN
IVF #1 April 2011 ER 4/23 w/16 eggs retrieved, 14 mature, 11 fert., 4 blasts to freeze, 5dt of 2 blasts on 4/28, beta #1 5/7 = 243... beta #2 5/9 = 491....beta #3 5/11 = 1113!! my blog

You did an IUI this cycle, too, right? Have you started testing? I did one on Jan. 6.

Yes I did! We are almost on the same schedule, and I *know* there are at least a handful of others that went right at the same time too! I'm only 8dpiui and I go for a beta on 14dpiui. I refuse to test, even for trigger. Last cycle I tested at 11dpiui and got all emo over the bfn even though it ended up being a bfp a few days later. I'm trying to avoid that this time around, but we'll see. Eeeek good luck!!!

lol @ emo. that's how I am right now. Today was my first negative after getting positives, so I feel sad. My dr. didn't say anything about a beta, just to test on the 20th. Good luck to you, too!!! Keep me updated!
