I had my regular check up today. I was able to ask the doctor (though not my regular doctor) more in depth about my VBAC. I told her that my doctor said he was pro-VBAC when he told me I was pregnant. I havent seen him since but I have seen all the doctors in the practice and when I mention it at my appointments they just say "You know University is the only hospital that does VBAC". I of course say yes, but that is all we talk about.
So I asked her if there was an issue with being at University and if for some reason my doctor can't deliver is everyone else in the practice supportive of my decision? I know that University boasts on their website an 85% success rate for VBAC. She told me I am the perfect candidate for a VBAC and if for some reason my doctor can't deliver the on call physician there will and that all doctors there are supportive of VBAC. I am so happy right now since this was my first real discussion about me having a VBAC. I can now start preparing myself for this journey.
Sorry so long. If you made this far you get a piece of pizza.
