Prenatal yoga?

Anyone out there doing prenatal yoga?  I'm at 5 weeks, and was thinking about getting a yoga dvd for workouts at home (I live soooo far from the gym).  Was wondering if anyone had any recomendations on videos they liked or didn't like...thanks!

Re: Prenatal yoga?

  • I bought the Gaiam prenatal yoga with Shiva Rea and did not like it at all.I found it to be too slow/easy and only used it 2 or 3 times. I've done Crunch Yoga Mama on Netflix and like it much better!

  • What are you after? I'd recommend the Shiva Rae one for a beginner. I prefer the podcasts from yogadownload.com .
  • I bought the DVD 10 Minutes Solutions, Prenatal Pilates and found it was both toning and stretching which is what I was looking for.  It has 5, 10 minute segments that you can breakup or do all at once.  Yesterday for example, I did 2 before work, and 3 after.  I am 23 weeks pregnant, and LOVE this DVD.

I bought a prenatal yoga DVD that was 30 minutes, and found it soooo BORING.  Maybe pilates if you are already working out, and are not already into yoga.
