VBAC

I've got good news!

One: No signs of pre-e, High blood pressure or even a hint of GD this time around

Two: Despite the snow,  I did make it to my Tufts consultation, and the doctor was really nice. So long as I go into labor on my own, I am allowed a TOL, and god willing that will turn into a successful VBAC. Furthermore, the doctor mentioned that I have about a 60% chance of being successful and that I can use the rocking chair, bring my ball, and perhaps even stand in the shower for a bit. This is huge, last time I was tethered via mag.sulfate/antibiotic IV and blood pressure cuff not to mention fetal monitor, to my bed for 48 plus hours while they induced me with everything they had. I keep using the vision of my daughter being flopped onto my chest as my motivator. This will work!

(P.S.) I'm not jinxing it, I understand that I still have to DO IT, but I've been wearing my mustard seed and I hope with a little more faith, I will.

Re: I've got good news!

  • Glad you got a lot of good news! I was stuck in bed with mag sulfate and all kinds of monitors too. Really hoping to be able to move around during labor this time - I feel like that's my only chance of having a VBAC. Hope it all goes as planned for you!

I'm searching for the same thing you are and my chances are about 50/50. I'd rather trust in faith, switch to an OB who supports VBACs and take my chances there vs being told I have no say in how I want to birth this baby at the hospital I've been going to. I'd rather try and have another c-section than to just give up and resolve that's all I'll ever be able to have.

I totally agree. If I end up with a RCS, I will at least know that I tried and that it was not meant to be.  I can't just walk into the OR without at least giving us a shot.
