Right now my 3 week old is sleeping in the newborn napper in the PNP in our room. Im thinking this week of moving him out of the newborn napper but and into the bassinet part of the PNP to make transition to the crib easier. When did you put baby in their crib in their own room? His room is down the hall from ours so will be using a monitor once we make the move.
Re: When to move to crib in own room?
Kate started out in our bedroom the first week, then master closet in the PNP bassinet. She moved upstairs to her crib at 7 weeks once she was STTN.
If you can easily get to the baby in the crib in the middle of the night, skip the PNP and go for the crib. Less to transition later.
I did what you're doing- went from newborn napper to the flat part of the PnP when she was getting too long for the napper (in our room). I started putting her in her crib for naps a few weeks ago (but not every nap) and moved her to the crib @ night on Tuesday.
I thought we'd both be ready because she was sleeping for longer stretches @ night, usually about 6-7.5 hours before waking to eat, and she's a noisy sleeper so she was keeping me up a lot! It's going very well so far.
Good luck!
