hey ladies, I'm working on my registry tonight (and as a first time mom and first of my friends to have a baby), I don't really know what to put on there. I have our stroller (that MIL is getting us), a few outfits, a first aid kit, and thats about it... I don't really know what to put on there. Anyone care to share their BRU registry, so I can steal some ideas? I'm also planning on BFing, but I don't really know what all I NEED.
I feel like an idiot, and my mom is no help (I'm one of 7 you would think she'd have suggestions, but she was a minimalist and strictly BFed (never used a bottle), baby slept in bed with her, etc. Thanks for any help ladies, my SIL is asking about a registry since she is throwing me a shower, and I keep telling her I'm working on it.
Re: registry question...
Ditto on this. I'm Kimberly Winfield (there are 2 Kimberly Winfield's, my DH's name is Mike).
And word of warning: mine is huge.
What really helped me was the BRU packet that they gave me at the store when I registered with reccomendations. And I like Targets baby registry online - it's very user friendly. HTH

The "essentials" according to my sister (with 3 kids):
car seat/stroller combo - either a travel system or compatible separates
car seat cover
convertible car seat - baby won't need this right away, but is a big ticket item you'll need within 6 months or so (this is a rear facing/front facing seat with a bigger weight tolerance)
pack n play - including sheets, baby will likely sleep in pack n play in your room if you don't have a bassinet
bouncy chair, swing, jumperoo
baby bath or bath chair (mesh kind of thing you put in the tub)
swaddling blankets and wearable blankets
pacifiers
monitor
bottles - you can get these now or you can wait. babies are different about what they like to use so you may not want to stock up on a bunch of one kind. ditto on this regarding diapers and formula (if you plan to use). It doesn't hurt to register for them though, they could work out great and if not you'll have them to exchange
These are the big things I can think of. Some of it will not be needed right away, but good to have on registry to be prepared. (I didn't bother to include my registry, most of it is fun stuff since I"m getting the hand me downs from her 3 monsters!) Hope that helps and happy registering!
I never held you, but I always loved you.
