Co-ed Baby Shower Venue?

Hello ladies, I'm planning a baby shower for my sister in law and it will be co-ed. I'm looking for any sugesstions for local places in and around Houston. I want a place that's comfortable for everyone... but still caters to mom to be. If, you've attended or had showers like please let me know! My only idea so far that I like is maybe a golf course club house... neutral environment, nice scenary, yet comfortable for mom to be. So if, you had any experiences please share. All responses greatly appreciated!!! :)

Re: Co-ed Baby Shower Venue?

  • We just had a co-ed baby shower for my best friend and we did it at a neighborhood community center.  it was big enough for everyone and we had some daddy games also to let the guys get involved.

  • I would choose a wine bar or something similar rather than a club house.
  • Try Haven in Upper Kirby. They have a beautiful outdoor area that is covered. They have heat lamps for when it's cold. The food is delicious and it's a nice neutral venue.

That would have sucked for me to have a baby shower at a wine bar. Everyone but me could/would be drinking! lol

  • We went to a shower at Texadelphia in their outside party room. Not so pretty, but a great deal of fun, even for the guys.

There will probably be alcohol at all of my showers, it doesn't bother me.

One is a brunch with bloody mary and mimosa bar!

  • Where are you having the brunch shower?

It's in Birmingham, AL, so not very helpful for you.

One of my lunch showers here is at the Junior League Tea Room, which is great for lunch/brunch (you choose the menu ahead of time) and they will serve alcohol. However, I don't think it will be good for co-ed though. Let me know if you want more info.

  • Thanks, I am actually looking for something co-ed
