What do you do at the gym?

Anyone working out at the gym? What machines if any do you do?

  • I am taking a prenatal swim class at the YMCA.  I also walk on the treadmill and ride the bike.  Sometimes I'll take my DD in the stroller and do laps on the track.

  • I don't go to the gym, but I have a treadmill at home.  I walk and gradually increase the incline to 6 at 4.0 for about 30 minutes. 
  • I also prefer to stay at home. I have a prenatal yoga DVD that I really like. The instructor was a trapeze artist for Cirque du Soleil, so she works on stregthening exercises as well as relaxing yoga stretches. It's also got a "Beginner" and "Advanced" workout, which I like. And if I don't necessarily feel up to yoga, I'll take the dog for a walk around the neighborhood. Sometimes DH comes with us, which makes it extra special. Smile
  • I stare at the recumbent bike in my future nursery, dream of when i had the energy to use it and try to figure out how i'm going to get it into storage because we need to start setting up the nursery LOL

  • I do almost everything at the gym except running or machines that my belly gets in the way (or requires me to lay on my tummy).

  • When I had my gym membership, I loved the elliptical.  I power walk/jog, do various workout DVDs, try to swim when I can and plan to buy an elliptical asap.
  • Free weight and body weight exercises - today, I did deadlifts, shoulder presses, cable rows, bulgarian split squats, reverse lunges, and some ab work. I was doing this before I was pg and have continued at the point where I'm comfortable.

    Treadmill walking - I wasn't running before, so I stick to walking at an incline

    Recumbent bike - when I'm lazy, I can bike and read.

    Yoga - taking a class, doing a bit on my own sometimes

    Swimming - 1000 m every Sunday

  • I take aerobics classes - zumba or step. On other days, I use the elliptical machine or walk on the treadmill. I use the weight machines or resistance bands for strength training.

  • I've been working out at the gym - just walking on the treadmill & swimming though.

  • On those rare occasions when I feel well enough to go to the gym, I use the elliptical and free weights and do some lunges and floor exercises.
