Miscarriage/Pregnancy Loss

Exercise restrictions? (Siggy warning, pic of DS)

I had a m/c this weekend, and wasn't given any physical restrictions.  I was still bleeding on Wednesday when I did my normal workout (running for 20 minutes and biking for 20.)  Shortly after that I stopped bleeding.  No bleeding yesterday.  No bleeding this morning.  I just started my workout today and immediately started bleeding again.  Does this sound normal?  I'm worried that something else might be wrong?  Or do you think the bleeding was just from exercising?

I called my doc and the nurse just told me to "take it easy for a little while" but I'm wondering what others in my situation were told by their doctors.  Were you told to hold off on vigorous exercise?  If so, for how long?

btw - Instead of running, I decided to do some slow walking on the treadmill and the bleeding has stopped.

  • When I wouds work out things were definitely flowing more.  I really am not bleeding (only notice when I wipe there is blood) but after working out there is blood on my pad.  Like theresat858 said, it is probably stuff that needs to come out and working out is "pushing" its way out or moivng things around, which is a good thing.  I wouldn't worry about it unless it seems to get worse and you are in pain.
