Any ideas ? We travelled in October but Jasper was much easier to just hold. Now he is all over the place . Any toy ideas ? We have two flights and lots of car drives.
Tia !
Lucas was about that age when we flew to Minnesota. We brought along some new books and a few new toys (cars, trains, those types of things). Since they were new he found them more exciting. We put him on the floor in front of our seats and let him play. We also were super lucky and had a flight attendant take him for an hour. She walked him around the plane, took him up into the cockpit, etc. Maybe you'll get lucky too!

We flew when Andrew was 5 months for a work conference that DH had and they had given out these at the conference and from FL to CA with an awful layover this was a huge hit.
I'd also recommend things like stacking cups, I bet you could find a mini set that barely takes up any room. Do you have any of those stroller toys that you pull on and they vibrate, plus the ears are crinkly ect, hmmm let me see if I can find some. (if not we have a handful I'd be happy to box up and mail to you)
Some touch and feel books too would be good for the plane. Also these sets of books would probably be a hit with both boys and are super thin and lightweight. We read them constantly around here.
For cam, maybe a lego plate and a small bag of lego. I bet that would keep him entertained for ages.
Another thing that's a hit in our house right now and would be super portable, dominos. We of course build stuff to then knock down, so fun to watch the creativity and helping him understand how it works. Also it's a good matching exercise to match up the same number of dots to each other and a counting game all rolled into one. You could toss handful in a carry on and even make and knock over things on the food tray on the plane.
Can Jasper manage stickers at all yet? I did that a lot with Andrew when I was pregnant and lazy . Of course I'd have to start it but he'd grab onto the edge and peel the rest of the way and sometimes I'd help with placement and sometimes just let him have at it. My favorite at that age are the type where you make something, like having a santa body and you place the sticker eye, feet, ect on.
We didn't do an airplane, but long car ride. We took books and like PP we got him a new toy before the trip to. We also just kinda put a few of his favorites in the closet for like 2 weeks before we went becuase they were more exciting after he hadn't had them in a while. The books seamed to keep his attention when he started getting really figety. Snacks were HUGE too. Bring lots of them. Good Luck
