Dry skin on toes

My youngest has really bad dry/peeling/cracking and bleeding on his toes. He doesn't have dry skin anywhere else on his body, so I find this very odd. He has an appointment coming up next week, but I was just wondering if anyone else on here has experienced this with their LO.

Re: Dry skin on toes

  • Do his feet get sweaty in his shoes a lot? I'd try putting powder in his sneakers to absorb some of it. And if the skin is real bad and lotion doesnt work, I've been told crisco shortening will help dry skin. Just put some on and cover it with plastic zip lock bags for a bit then socks.

  • He doesn't really ever wear shoes...we live in Montana and it's cold outside, so most of the time we're in the house and he's wearing socks. Lotion hasn't worked, but I will try the crisco! Thanks. :]
