The PIO shot wasn't "that" bad. The only bad part was when DH first went to inject it, he slipped and caused a large scratch on my booty that broke the skin. He was actually freaking out about it more than I was ( I didn't even know what was going on). He has a huge fear of needles and had a mini panic attack when he realized that he needs to give me the shot every night for 17 days. Not sure why, but he was under the impression that they would stop after ET.

I just stuck an ice pack inside my waist band to start to numb the area while I prepared the needle. After I got the PIO in the needle, I rolled it between my hands for a few minutes to heat it up ( and thus thin it out). I was going to just heat up the entire vial but then the scientist part of my brain kicked in. If it is 1mL while thick, thinning it out may make it so that that same 1mL doesn't contain the same amount of progesterone as the volume of oil in the vial will go up ( along the same lines of how you should only check the oil level in your car when it's cold as it will seem like there's more in there if you check it when warm). Anyways, so, after he finally injected it & taped a gauze pad on it, I just sat on a heating pad. Smile
