During pregnancy mine went up my entire belly. It disappeared immediately after delivery.
Really? I highly doubt this. It's an excess of melanin in your skin, same thing as a sun tan. Like a sun tan, it takes time to fade. Further compounded by the fact that your skin is shrinking, the concentration of melanin (per square inch of skin) actually INCREASES after childbirth, the line gets darker and the rest of the skin on your belly should appear a little darker. Some women end up with a permanent faint line. Others may have it darken again with UV exposure.
FTR, mine's completely gone from belly-button up and very faint from button down at 3 months pp.
Re: linea nigra...
I still have mine, but is really faint; however, I didn't a dark one to begin with.
I don't think so. I didn't breastfeed, but mine just now has started to fade.
