My DD likes to cuddle with my arm when I put her to sleep at night. My back was killing me leaning over the crib every night just so she could hug my arm to her.
I have a doll that my mom gave me when DD was born, called "My First Doll" or "Baby's First Doll", something like that. It's a small, stuffed fabric doll, with a plastic face.
I gave it to her when I put her down tonight and she hugged it to her and fell asleep.
I know lots of people give their LO's something to sleep with, and I guess I'm just looking for reassurance from others that she'll be fine. I assume if she gets it over her face, she'll pull it off. My biggest concern is that she'll have it close to her nose and she won't get enough oxygen.
I'm probably being overprotective, but I'm not sure if I'll be able to sleep tonight not knowing where in her crib the doll is.
So WWYD?
Re: I know I shouldn't worry, but WWYD re: DD sleeping with doll
Bar tab = $156,000, Bus to Foxwoods = $0, Puking in the Stanley Cup = Priceless
i was worried like you are when i first gave dd a lovie for her crib. but she's never had it covering her face or had any issues since she's had it (i check on her a million times at night too
)
She will be okay. I am all for lovies for comfort. Both my kids have slept with lovies starting at 3 months. My daughter actually has two, plus the FP seahorse.
Exactly this! Thanks for all the responses girls!
I feel a little better now. Hopefully I'll sleep tonight!
