I posted earlier today about how, after a week of contractions, losing my MP, and 2 L&D visits, I was downgraded from early labor to just BH as there had been not even a tiny sign of progress.
Yesterday, I added extra basil to my dinner and then drank red raspberry leaf tea. DH also rubbed my feet and did a few acupressure points that we got from this video:

Today, I went to the dr. I am 50% effaced, 1 cm dilated, and the baby moved from -3 to -1! All in 24 hours!!
I am feeling SOO much more optimistic and relaxed! I can totally wait longer if I know there is progress being made. It's having useless contractions that was making me cry.
(I know that these things probably did not "work" as I lost the MP before that and it was probably just time for things to happen - but whatever helps!)
Re: Basil+RRL tea+acupressure=there's hope!
I went to my 39w2d appt today, and my doctor is already talking about inducing me because i have NO PROGRESS EITHER!!
I went to the store and bought a crap load of pineapple, hot sauce, everything spicy, and walked (briskly) around the entire walmart to get some exercise in. (TMI- and yes DH and I are going to do the deed like 5X a day now)
I, like you, will try anything natural under the sun to try and get things moving because I hate the idea of being induced!!!
Only thing is, I couldn't find the Raspberry leaf tea. where did you get yours? (if at a big chain store?)
I went backwards in progress from week37 to week 38. And I'm facing a RCS if I don't go on my own, not even induction.
As for raspberry leaf tea, I find it in the organic aisle of my local grocery store. The brand is Traditional Medicinals. I haven't looked for it at Wal-Mart, but you hopefully can find it in your grocery store or something similiar in a "natural" store.
It will happen at some point - the babies can't stay in there forever! (That's what I keep telling myself anyway.)
I was drinking Pregnancy tea from Traditional Medicines or Mom to be tea from Yogi tea. They both have raspberry leaf in it. It's probably more effective to get plain RRL tea, but that's what I have at home right now.
Try the acupressure points. Or, if you can find an acupuncturist it would probably be even better. I've heard it is REALLY effective.
